What’s involved in a “Standard Basic Clean” of your Windows?

When first in discussions with us at Precision Window Cleaning you’re usually provided with a quote for a “Standard Basic Clean” for your windows.

What’s included when performing a “Standard Basic Clean”?

Below is a list of the standard terms and conditions:

- Window cleaning pricing includes standard basic cleaning. Includes chemicals, equipment, labour and insurance.

- Windows are cleaned of dust, dirt, grease and fingerprints.

- The pricing reflects a combination of water fed pole pure water window cleaning and traditional window cleaning methods. Please ensure you let us know if you have any preferences or requirements at your property, as we may need to adjust our pricing accordingly due to access to windows and time required to complete the works.

- Our quoted works is for 1x day visit, or 2x concurrent days if we advise at the time. Additional trips/bookings that are out of our control may require additional setup costs.

- Internal window ledges and sills are wiped.

- All window are cleared of cobwebs.

- Window flyscreens are usually removed and cleaned, as long as they are not screwed in place and can be removed without damaging or removing blinds etc. Large fly screen doors are usually excluded from our scope unless requested during the initial site inspection, as these can be problematic to remove and reinstate.

- When provided with a quote, they are valid for 30 days.

- We ask that all windows are closed prior to start of works. If there are any locations at your property where you think there may be issues with the waterproofing or weatherproofing, seal issues or areas where water ingress has occurred in the past, please let us know prior to start of works so that we can make the necessary adjustments with our cleaning approach. Unfortunately we can not be held responsible for any damage that occurs due to water entering the property from the outside, as the property should be sealed and correctly weatherproofed.

- It is also worth noting that windows regularly contain a lot of small/minor scratches that cannot be seen until the dirt and dust has been fully removed. This is particularly apparent in older buildings/windows, but even newer builds regularly have scratches that occur during the construction process.

- Standard Basin Clean excludes hardwater staining (i.e. Calcium, Limescale, and associated mineral build-up) and permanent stains. It can be difficult to determine the extent of hardwater staining prior to the windows being cleaned so this is usually something that can be discussed after your windows have been cleaned of dust, dirt and debris. Additional costs will apply if you require these works to be undertaken.

- Standard Basin Clean excludes Post Construction Cleaning. Scraping, steel wool and additional chemicals needed for paint overspray, excess paint marks, silicone, concrete splatter, etc can be priced once the windows have been cleaned and the extent of the works required can be determined. A scratch waiver will usually be required to be signed prior to any abrasive cleaning techniques being utilised.

- Cleaning of window and sliding door tracks is not included in the standard basic clean, however these works can be priced upon request.

- Pricing does not include any interior glass partitions, railings, stairs, mirrors, shower screens or office glass. Quoted amount is for exterior windows only.

- Payment due within 3 days upon completion of works.
